Savory Haddock Korma

This is recipe is for all my Icelandic readers, and those who love seafood. This dish is really delicious and it is also really easy!Ingredients:
2LBs Fresh or Frozen Haddock.**
3 tablespoons Canola oil
1 onion, thinly sliced.
1 1/4 cup chicken stock*
1 1/4 cups sour cream
6 cardamom pods
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 teaspoons coriander p[owder
1 inch piece of ginger.
2 cloves of garlic crushed.
juice of half a lemon
Preparation: Mix sour cream, cardamom pods and cinnamon sticks and spread over the fish pieces let marinate for 15 minutes. In a large skillet heat oil and add sliced onions and ginger; cook until soft about 4 minutes. Add garlic, turmeric and coriander cook for a few more minutes then add fish and sour cream mixture: make sure that the spice mixture is mixed into the sauce(but be gentle! The fish is delicate) Pour the stock over the fish and simmer gently for about 10-15 minutes, turning the fish once. Add lemon juice mix gently, and simmer gently for another 5 minutes. Serve with rice. Enjoy!
**Make sure to defrost the haddock if you are using frozen haddack because it will water down the sauce.
*A fish bouillon will work well here, if the haddock comes with a skin and boil it with bouillon or salted water. You can also use chicken bouillon.

Thanks!
Tami! I love your blog I am not much of a baker, so I can live vicariously through your blog:)
Ann! It is really good. Traditional Korma has a bit of sugar added and Kewra water, to make it sweeter but I like it savory. Add two teaspoons of sugar if you think you will like it sweeter.
